Achieving Success in Post-Secondary Education | 10/23/21
This session covered strategies for achieving post-secondary success for youth with sickle cell disease. Panelists discussed accommodation for students with sickle cell disease, mental wellness through the post-secondary transition, and two panelists shared their personal experiences navigating post-secondary education with sickle cell disease. The session was followed by the presentation of SCAGO’s 2021 scholarship grants to this year’s awardees, including the Sunday Afolabi Scholarship Grant and the Sholape Animashawun Scholarship Grant.
