Gracia Mabaya, MSc, MPH, Ph.D. (c), is currently working as a Lead in the Clinical and Quality Standards Program within Ontario Health’s Clinical Institutes and Quality Programs portfolio, co-leading the development of the Sickle Cell Disease quality standard. Gracia has been with Ontario Health for almost 6 years and previously worked as a Senior Analyst within Cancer Screening, Program Design for the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP). Prior to that, she worked as a Research Analyst with the Quality Standards Program (formerly part of Health Quality Ontario [HQO]) and was involved in supporting the development of various quality standards, based on the best available scientific and clinical evidence. In this role, she also led the development of the Lyme Disease clinical guidance document and the Asthma in Children and Adolescents quality standard.
Gracia possesses a Master of Science (MSc) in Health Promotion and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Western University and is currently working on her Ph.D. part-time in Business Administration (Health Management) at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University
