Manager, Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Anti-Racism
Paulysha De Gannes (she/her) is the Manager, Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Anti-Racism at Ontario Health. In her role she leads province-wide equity initiatives that include the Black Health Plan, advancing Inclusive 2SLGBTQIA+ care, reporting, and more. Previously she worked at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) where she was the Assistant Manager in the Office of Health Equity and oversaw interpretation services, health equity research, training and education, the Immigrant and Refugee Mental Health project.
Prior to CAMH, Paulysha worked at Addictions and Mental Health Ontario where she led equity, anti-racism, anti-oppression, diversity, and inclusion initiatives across the entire addiction and mental health sector, using a systems-level approach that aligns with Ontario Health’s. She has held a variety of health equity and policy roles at prominent organizations, including the Canadian Cancer Society, Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Ontario Ministry of Labour, Durham Region Health Department and more. Paulysha completed her Master’s in Public Health (Health Promotion) at the University of Toronto and graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa.
