SCAGO’s head office is in Toronto. However, to ensure no one with SCD is left behind, we divided the province into four regions (Southeastern, Southwestern region, Northern Ontario, Toronto/Central Ontario) offering health education, awareness, client services, and supporting research. Volunteer coordinators are appointed to support families and liaise with the comprehensive care centers in these regions.
Centrally, SCAGO administers financial assistance to improve the well-being of families with SCD who are financially handicapped but will benefit from respite, emergency (for food, medication, and supplements), and transportation grants.
